About B&B Casa-Bienvenido

B&B Casa-Bienvenido is located at an altitude of 530 meters. Because of this, from any position in the B&B you can see beautiful stretched out vistas and there is a view of the Mediterranean Sea! You can enjoy the beautiful sunrise and sunset.

The environment is an oasis of tranquility. The B&B has 3 fully equipped guest rooms, each with their own unique charm and comfort. Each room has a breathtaking view. There is also a common living room where you can stay cosily together.

You can relax on your own terrace, on the shared terrace or by the pool.

Looking for something cool? Then you can use the lovely pool. There are also several seating areas where you can enjoy both the sun and the shade.

Time for a refreshing drink? Then you can use the honesty bar. This is stocked at any time of the day with cold water, soft drinks, beer, and various types of delicious white and rosé wines. For a small snack, there are several types of crisps. Please note what you have consumed on your room list, which hangs next to the honesty bar. Checkout is in cash at the end of your stay.

Location

B&B Casa-Bienvenido is located in the mountainous area of the traditional white village of Arenas, belonging to the Axarquia region in the province of Malaga in Andalusia. Arenas is a municipality with an area of 26 km2 and has about 1400 inhabitants. So it is not the largest village but it is equipped with all conveniences. There is a bakery, supermarket, tabacos, pharmacy and a bar/restaurant as well as a tourist information office.

The route to reach the village is to take the MA4111 from Vélez-Malaga. Vélez-Malaga is 8 km away from Arenas. The road climbs slowly up to Bentomiz Mountain and offers beautiful panoramic views of the sea. There are also several stopping points on this road where you can enjoy the beautiful views.

Arenas is a village with a Moorish past and this can be seen in its winding streets and white houses. From almost every point in the village you can see Mount Bentomiz, with its ancient fortress.

Malaga airport is 50 kilometers away and the sandy beaches of Torre del Mar are only a 13 km drive from the B&B.

Area

From the B&B, hiking is beautiful. For example, take a walk to the picturesque village of Sayalonga. A walk of about 1 1/2 hours past beautiful almond trees with expansive views. In Sayalonga, you can enjoy a snack and a drink in one of the restaurants on the central square. From Sayalonga, as a stop you can visit Bodegas Bentomiz about another 40-minute walk away. This is a boutique winery in the hills overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. Delicious fresh and delicate wines are produced here. You can enjoy a delicious lunch or wine tasting here. Reservations are required, we can make the reservation for you if you wish.

Or visit the old Moorish fortress Castle Bentomiz (Ruin). It was one of the largest castles in the province. Its location at over 700 meters altitude gives a beautiful wide view over the La Axarquia area and the sea.

Our B&B is also the perfect base for hiking in the beautiful nature of the Natural Park "Parque Natural de las Sierras de Tejeda, Almijara y Alhama". Explore the magnificent mountains and enjoy the breathtaking views while hiking through the beautiful countryside.

If you long for a day at the sea, the beaches are located about a 20-minute drive from the B&B. Stroll along the promenade at Torre del Mar beach or enjoy a terrace at Algarobbo beach.
